Terre Yde is a knowledgeable, skilled attorney who is a vital addition to Comerford & Britt, L.L.P. Already a seasoned litigator, she knows what it takes to win her clients' cases, drawing upon her variety of experience, stellar education, and outstanding interpersonal skills to achieve success. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Terre completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida and then moved to Sweden, where she learned to speak Swedish and taught English to high school students. She also spent time in Brazil, where she worked with homeless children. After returning to the States, she earned her juris doctor from West Virginia University, where she was a member of Law Review, a member of the National Moot Court Team, and Team Captain of the International Moot Court Board. Upon graduating in 1999, Terre was selected as a member of the Order of Barristers and received the distinction of Order of the Coif. Terre joined the firm in 2000 and is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers (YLD, Publications Chair 2003-2004), a member and past officer (Treasurer, 2000-2002; President, 2001-2002) of the Forsyth County Women Attorneys Association, and a member of the Board of North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys. Her practice is focused on medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases. Terre is especially dedicated to various issues involving children. She has been involved in several different capacities, including as a volunteer for various children's literacy programs and a pregnancy crisis center.
